Brass indoor and outdoor gland suitable for all types of steel wire armoured cable (SWA/AWA) , providing an environmental seal on both the cable inner and outer sheaths. The gland also provides mechanical cable retention and electrical continuity via armour wire termination.
Properties
E1W double seal compression cable gland provides metal-to-metal armour clamping and sealing on the cable bedding and outer-jacket. The cable glands have an IP66 rating on both sealing of the cable bedding and outer cable jacket. The products comes with either yellow brass, nickel-plated and stainless-steel material.
The glands are type tested and certified to BS EN 50262:1998-FA1:2001+ A2:2004 and conform to BS 6121:Part1:1989. They also conform to BS EN 62444: 2013. The Glands are ABS certified for marine applications.
